Delete Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you've decided to delete your MedFam account, please read the information below carefully.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Permanent Deletion
When you delete your account, the following will occur:
1. Account Deactivation
- Your account will be immediately deactivated
- You will no longer be able to sign in to the App
- Your email address will be removed from our system
2. Data Deletion
All local data on your device will be removed, including:
- Family profiles and information
- Medicine records and schedules
- Dose tracking history
- Adherence statistics
- App settings and preferences
All cloud-synced data (if you have Pro subscription) will be permanently deleted from our servers, including:
- All profiles and medication data stored in Firebase Firestore
- All associated metadata and timestamps
3. Subscription Cancellation
- If you have an active MedFam Pro subscription, it will be cancelled
- You will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds will be issued for the current billing period
- Future charges will be stopped
4. Data Retention
Some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records (for accounting and legal compliance)
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (cannot be linked to you)
- Information required by law enforcement or legal processes
Important Considerations
Before You Delete
- Export any data you want to keep (you can manually copy information from the App)
- Cancel your subscription separately through App Store or Google Play if you want to avoid future charges
- Understand that this action cannot be undone
- Ensure you have access to any other accounts or services linked to this account
Data Backup
We do not provide a data export feature. If you wish to keep your medication information, please manually copy or screenshot the data you want to preserve before deleting your account.
Time to Complete
Account deletion is typically processed immediately. However, complete removal of all data from our systems may take up to 30 days. During this period, your account will remain deactivated and inaccessible.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Through the App
- Open MedFam on your device
- Go to Settings (usually in the Profile section)
- Tap on "Account Settings" or "Privacy"
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Read the confirmation message carefully
- Enter your password or confirm your identity if prompted
- Tap "Delete Account" to confirm
- You may be asked to type "DELETE" to confirm your intent
Option 2: Contact Support
If you cannot access the App or prefer to delete your account through support:
- Send an email to tobiburofficial@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the following information:
- Your account email address
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account
- Any additional verification information we may request
We will process your request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
Cancelling Your Subscription
Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately.
To Cancel Subscription:
- iOS (Apple): Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > MedFam > Cancel Subscription
- Android (Google): Go to Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > MedFam > Cancel
If you delete your account but do not cancel your subscription, you may continue to be charged. We are not responsible for charges that occur after account deletion if you have not cancelled your subscription through the App Store or Google Play.
Reactivation
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered or reactivated. If you wish to use MedFam again in the future, you will need to:
- Create a new account
- Re-enter all your information manually
- Set up your profiles and medicines again
We cannot restore any data from a deleted account.

Alternatives to Deletion
Before deleting your account, consider these alternatives:
Temporary Break
Simply stop using the App - your data will remain stored. You can return anytime and pick up where you left off.
Disable Notifications
Turn off medication reminders if they're bothering you. Keep your data without receiving notifications.
Disable Cloud Sync (Pro Users)
Turn off cloud sync if you're concerned about cloud storage. Your data will remain only on your device.
Downgrade to Free Plan
Cancel your Pro subscription and use the free plan. Keep your account with limited features.
If you're experiencing issues with the App, please contact support - we may be able to help resolve your concerns without you needing to delete your account.
Confirmation
By proceeding with account deletion, you confirm that:
- You understand that account deletion is permanent and irreversible
- You have backed up any data you wish to keep
- You understand that your subscription (if active) must be cancelled separately
- You are the account owner or have authorization to delete this account
- You have read and understood all the information above
